GTA 6 FPS Calculator
Pick your GPU, CPU, resolution and preset to get an estimated FPS range. Numbers are community projections until real benchmarks land.
Estimated FPS range
101β131 FPS
Average around 119 FPS at 1080p High
Community projection β real benchmarks will replace these values after launch. Actual performance depends on drivers, background load, and Rockstar's final optimization.
How the calculator works
Our FPS estimator uses a baseline lookup model. Each GPU has a base FPS figure at 1080p High, derived from known RAGE engine performance in Rockstar's previous titles. We then apply scaling factors for:
- β’CPU multiplier β accounts for processor-bound bottlenecks common in open-world games with heavy AI and physics simulation.
- β’Resolution factor β 1440p roughly halves pixel throughput vs 1080p; 4K quarters it. We use empirical ratios from GTA 5 and RDR2.
- β’Preset factor β Low to Ultra affects draw distance, shadow quality, reflection detail, and vegetation density.
The final estimate is shown as a range (Β±15%) to account for driver variance, background load, and game-specific optimizations. These figures will be updated with real benchmark data post-launch.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How accurate is the GTA 6 FPS calculator?
- These are community projections based on known RAGE engine performance in GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Real benchmarks will replace these estimates once GTA 6 launches on PC.
- What GPU do I need for 60 FPS in GTA 6?
- Based on projections, an NVIDIA RTX 4070 or AMD RX 7800 XT should achieve around 60 FPS at 1080p High settings. For 1440p at 60 FPS, consider an RTX 4070 Ti or higher.
- Can I run GTA 6 at 4K?
- 4K at 60+ FPS will likely require a high-end GPU like the RTX 4080 or RTX 4090. DLSS and FSR upscaling may help lower-tier cards reach playable 4K frame rates.
- Does CPU matter for GTA 6 FPS?
- Yes. Open-world games like GTA are CPU-intensive for AI, physics, and world streaming. A modern 6-core processor (e.g., Ryzen 5 7600X or Core i5-13600K) is recommended for optimal performance.
