GTA 6 Settings Guide — Best PC and Console Options

Not every graphics setting has the same impact. Below is where to spend your performance budget and where to save it.

PC: the settings worth dropping first

• Shadow Quality — high cost, low visible gain past "High".
• Reflection Quality — impacts open water and wet surfaces heavily.
• Volumetric Lighting — beautiful but expensive; a middle setting is a fair compromise.

PC: the settings to keep high

• Texture Quality — hardly costs frame rate if you have VRAM.
• Population Density — Vice City feels lifeless below the medium tier.
• Anti-aliasing — TAA or DLSS/FSR set to Quality is the sweet spot.

Console modes

Expect a Fidelity mode (4K target, 30 FPS) and Performance mode (1440p target, 60 FPS). Pick Performance for driving-heavy sessions and Fidelity for story cutscenes.
